Sizing
Q: How do I know what size chandelier to hang in my dining room?
A: Generally, the diameter of a dining room chandelier can be calculated by adding the dimensions of the room together. For example: a room that is 12' x 12' should have a fixture that is approximately 24" in diameter. Another way to determine the width of your dining room chandelier is to divide the width of your dining room table in half. For example: if the width of your table is 54", select a chandelier that has a diameter of approx. 27". As always, personal preference is also a determining factor.
Q: How do I know how low my dining room fixture should hang?
A: The bottom of the chandelier should hang approx. 30" above the table. As always, personal preference is also a determining factor.
